OLDY is a conceptual mobile device inspired by the principles of origami, exploring how folding geometry can redefine interaction, portability, and form factor in personal electronics.
Rather than relying on conventional hinges or flexible screens, the device uses angular planes and segmented surfaces to transition between different modes—compact, active, and display-oriented—through physical transformation.
The project investigates how form itself can communicate function, allowing users to intuitively understand interaction states through shape, posture, and spatial configuration.
Through its faceted geometry, minimal material palette, and light-guided edges, FOLDY proposes a future-facing approach to mobile devices where structure, interaction, and visual language are seamlessly integrated.
